Risk Management

Risk Management Services

The greatest liabilities associated with electronics disposition are associated with data security and electronic waste disposal. CloudBlue provides secure Data Erasure and Destruction services to protect customers from the numerous state data privacy laws and federal legislation such as Sarbanes-Oxley, Gramm-Leach-Bliley, HIPAA / HITECH and FACTA, as well as the negative publicity that can result from a data breach.

Electronic waste represents approximately 70% of the toxicity that is emitted from landfills. Environmental concerns have led to increased legislation to hold companies responsible for the proper disposal of their electronic assets. CloudBlue was an early recipient of the e-Stewards® certification, which requires an auditable downstream and full accountability for all materials in the Recycling process.

Sustainability Management

CloudBlue is committed to maximizing the sustainability of clients’ assets. Every effort is made to extend the life of the asset as long as possible. If an asset cannot be refurbished and remarketed for reuse or redeployment, it is demanufactured and through commodity recycling the materials are returned to the manufacturing process for use in the production of new products.

Residual Value Management

CloudBlue helps our clients maximize the residual value of their electronic equipment through a proactive asset management approach. We begin with an assessment of our client’s asset portfolio, including a current market valuation and a residual value forecast. This provides our clients with the data they need to make decisions regarding cost-optimized refreshes and upgrades. As market conditions change, CloudBlue proactively notifies our clients of impacts to their portfolio valuation and recommends appropriate actions to maximize their ROI.

The core of our Residual Value Management services is our remarketing expertise. Because of the large volumes of equipment that we receive from large corporations and institutions, we are market makers in many segments of the secondary electronics markets. Our remarketing team consistently maximizes equipment value by selling refurbished equipment directly to end-users including businesses, schools, and consumers as well as maintenance companies, resellers and wholesalers.
